5 job boards you probably aren’t checking (but should be!)

If you’re on the hunt for a new job, you’ve probably been keeping your eye on Seek.com.

But have you been looking at the smaller websites that also advertise jobs? These job boards can be a gold mine when looking for specific roles.

In my own personal career, I’ve had huge success applying to jobs listed in places other than Seek. Why? I put it down to these jobs having less applicants and being more likely to be monitored by an actual person, rather than an Applicant Tracking System.

Here’s 5 of my favourite alternatives to Seek for you to check out.

PEDESTRIAN

The folks over at Pedestrian know what’s what when it comes to creative jobs, and they’ve got the job board to prove it.

With listings from all over Aus, this is the place to be if you’re looking for edgy jobs in the media, marketing, start-up and creative industries.

ARTSHUB

If you’re a creative kid looking to utilise your Bachelor of Arts in the industry, look no further than ArtsHub.

It’s Australia’s largest arts and creative jobs network.

GRAD CONNECTION

Fresh out of uni and got your eyes set on a grad role or internship? Look no further than Grad Connection.

Over 500 of Australia’s top employers advertise here, so you're sure to find something that’s right up your alley.

PROBONO AUSTRALIA

Looking for a job that makes a positive impact?

The Pro Bono Job board showcases the very best jobs for purpose-driven people.

GLASSDOOR

Infamous for shining the light on working and pay conditions at companies, Glassdoor also has a whole bunch of jobs advertised.

Get the inside scoop on the company before you apply! (But keep in mind that people are more inclined to write a negative review than they are a positive one, so take your findings with a grain of salt).

If you’re sick of scrolling through job boards every day, I suggest setting up a job alert on a few of these websites. You’ll get a curated list of jobs sent directly to your email. Happy job hunting!
